One Friday evening as I was preparing dinner my little man, Caleb, decided he was going to help in the kitchen. Both my kiddos absolutely love being in the kitchen. So any opportunity the kids have they jump on it. As I was busy cooking away Caleb grabbed ALL the pots and pans I was not using and decided to cook a yummy salad a.k.a."sow wed". He needed some ingredients so he grabbed all leftover celery and began making his masterpiece of a dish.

Happy Fall Y'all

The kids seem to love it when we put out a scarecrow and a few fall decorations. This year we somehow managed to stow away the "fall/Halloween" decorations in a box that simply could not be found. So off to Michael's we went (one of my FAVORITE craft stores) with my 50% off coupon in hand and let the kiddos pick out a scarecrow. Next we made a pit stop to our local grocery store to pick out a big, fat pumpkin. With a little maneuvering and patience I was able to get the scarecrow (wink wink) to stand still for a photo with the kids. My fellow moms know how hard it is to get everyone in line and STILL for a photo op. Here we have my attempts.

Simple pleasures

Thanks to a good friend and fellow scrappy chick I was quickly reminded that I have totally neglected my blog. So thanks Christina for the reminder. I must say after taking a blogger hiatus I am hoping to get back into the swing of things. So take a seat, grab your favorite beverage and read away.

One of the many blessings I have is being able to stay at home for my children. I can't say enough how awesome it is to be able to take advantage of being a stay-at-home (SAH) mom because I know there are so many moms out there that would do anything just to have one day off with their children. Is life just peachy because I don't have to work.. NO. In fact, some days can be challenging and other days I crave adult interaction. But all in all, it is a blessing and I thank my Heavenly Father that my sweet and precious husband works hard so that I do not have to. On a crazy day, Megan is at school and I am busy keeping Caleb entertained while doing the laundry, scrubbing appliances and toilets, and everything in between. On a slow day I can grab the camera and capture some of the simple pleasures. Mother/son time.
