How does your garden grow?

I'm an avid follower of an awesome blog called Skip to My Lou which shares info and tips on anything from hosting a shrimp boil to celebrating holidays, making homemade scratch art paper, sewing gifts and throwing parties to cooking delicious food. The site is full of free patterns, downloads and lots of inspiration on cute, fun and novel ideas.

Although it's March and Valentine's Day was a month ago, I just happened to stumble across one of the cutest and quite simple Valentine's gift ideas, a Lollipop Lily Valentine.  Is this not precious?  I know what I will be making next year for my kid's Valentine's.  For the free download info click here: Lollipop Lily Valentine.

A Celebration of Independence

In celebration of the Independence Day, we got together with my in-laws and headed to downtown Powder Springs for some family style fun.  From snow cones & funnel cake to live music & entertainment, our celebration was great.  The kids enjoyed all the festivities and when the sun went down we headed to our car & set up camp to watch the fireworks.  With our blankets & lawn chairs we talked, snacked and enjoyed our afternoon.  As with all 4th of July fireworks displays we, of course, had to wait until nearly 10:00 o'clock before the show began but when it did... wow it was fantastic.  I always love fireworks shows and seeing the beautiful display definitely made feel proud that I am American.  You know the old say... American by birth and Southern by the grace of God.
My three favorite people!
