A glimpse into our day

On a typical day while Megan is in school Caleb and I will often read together, cook together, veg together, eat lunch together, go shopping or whatever. On this particular day Caleb decided to make one of his many "houses". This involves taking all the cushions off one couch and stacking every toy in the playroom all on top of the couch. Now mind you when my house is messy my brain is in turmoil. But sometimes Caleb is having so much fun I just can't help but laugh... or grab the camera. Sometimes I need to tell myself to stop and smell the roses ..... or as my little boy calls his latest creation....his house.
Relax mommy...."You wike my house... it's beautiful"

They're gettin' HITCHED!!

I had the honor and privilege of assisting my sister-n-law, Glenda, with her wedding planning and preparation. The theme was country western and what a fun theme it was. With the cowboy hats, cowboy boots, yellow bandannas and sunflowers things came together so beautifully. On the big day the bride (dressed in a gorgeous old timey wedding dress complete with a top hat and laced gloves) and the groom, Mike (dress in his handsome Tombstone attire, cowboy hat and boots with spurs in all) exchanged the sweetest vows in an outdoor community center in front of friends in family with a nice, warm fire blazing in the outdoor fireplace. What a beautiful day it was to celebrate the marriage of Glenda to her love, Mike. Here are a few snapshots of this special day.

Glen walking Glenda down the isle..how sweet!

Oh how they grow up so fast.....

A few months ago I started on my fifth scrapbook which will be dedicated entirely to my daughter's 2nd year of life. Since I began scrap booking I've learned the hard lesson of skipping around through chronological events..... so for me personally I just decided to bite the bullet and start from the year 1999 and work my way up. Why 1999 you ask? Well in the year 1999 I gave birth to my daughter, Megan Marie Raxter. This is when my life really began. While gathering my supplies and organizing my pictures, I began to reminisce on the days when my sassy-frassy little girl was just a little pea in the pod. Below are a few pictures from a very special day at my parent's house... aka Meme and G-Paw's. This was a very happy day and I remember it clearly. God was gracious in giving me such a beautiful and precious child. As the bible states in James 1:17 , Every good present and every perfect gift comes from above, from the Father who made the sun, moon, and stars. The Father doesn't change like the shifting shadows produced by the sun and the moon.
