Sad News

With a burdened heart I am bringing sad news. Yesterday morning I recieved word that my parents longtime pet dog Stormy Blue was put to sleep and on his way to heaven. After many months of sickness and continual health declining my parents had to make the tough decision to end Stormy's suffering.

Stormy Blue was introduced into the Allen home in 1994 and has been a beloved companion to my parents ever since. Stormy was half siberian husky / half wolf and boy was he a beautiful creature. With one blue eye and one brown eye he could definitely make your heart melt. He lived a long, loving, happy and active life and I know my parents will never be the same without him. He was protective, loyal and provided constant and unconditional love.

Bendable wax stick AKA Bendaroos

What do you get when you take a sticky wax and combine that with one bored husband.... You get a new pair of snazzy glasses for your son. Oh and let's not forget the matching headband.

I laughed for nearly an hour when I saw what my two guys had gotten in to.

Girl's Night Out

One weekend in November my long-time best friend Kim Belisle and I both drove to Columbus to have a girl's night out. Since we both moved away from Columbus (I moved to Atlanta and she moved near Macon) we don't get to see one another NEARLY as much as we would like to. So we try and get together every so often just to catch up and enjoy our time together. Once in Columbus we drove around just doing a little sight-seeing.... everything has changed quite a bit in five years. We went window shopping and had an awesome Mexican dinner. Afterwards we went out to enjoy some of the Columbus nightlife. Good times. Being absolutely silly!

Happy Thanksgiving Ya'll

In celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday we drove up to Walter's sister's house to spend Thanksgiving with his family. Of course there was LOTS of food.... roasted turkey, spiral ham, mashed potatoes, giblet gravy, mac'n cheese, broccoli & rice casserole, green bean casserole, steamed veggies, sweet potatoe souffle', dinner rolls, pecan pie, pumpkin spice cheese cake....just to name a few. Family+good food = much to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving! The Johnson Family
