We are welcomed to the neighborhood

Just before we decided to purchase our current home Walter and I were doing a walk through when we came across a bird's nest perched in a column on the front porch. We didn't think much of it until one Saturday morning we came to spruce up the yard before moving day. As we were clearing out the flower bed we noticed a little bird coming to and from this quiet little nest. It then dawned on me that the little bird was preparing for her little babies and we were disturbing her. About a week later we moved in and as I was standing on the porch watching the movers I heard the faint sounds of those little baby birds. Something was very special about it... it's not something I can explain. It sort of felt like it was our sign from the Lord that everything was going to be okay. I felt a sense of peace. Call me crazy or whatever but I believe that God gives us signs all the time that are apparent to him but often unnoticeable to us. So it just goes to show that sometimes you just have to sit, wait and meditate on the Lord. Because you never know when he will reveal himself...even if it's just in a little bird's nest.
1 Samuel 12:16"Now then, stand still and see this great thing the LORD is about to do before your eyes!

We're Here!

Just two VERY short days after Megan's last day in the 2nd grade we watched the movers pack our belongings and off to Dallas we went. I must say it was a great blessing to not have to pack or physically move anything. But there is a drawback... a GAZILLION boxes with only rooms labeled on them.. not what's actually in them. Let's just say it was a big guessing game trying to figure out where the hair dryer was and why 80 sheets of packing paper were used to protect plastic cups??? But you can't have your cake and eat it too! Aside from that we have a new place to call home. Thank you God for being so faithful. Thank you for providing for our family a dwelling, our refuge.

It is good to give thanks to the Lord,to sing praises to your name, O Most High;

Our Refuge

How time flies by...

So much to say...so little time. First let me just say that time really flies by so fast, especially when you are busy like me. As the season of Spring transitioned to Summer so many things came and went. We were preparing for our relocation to Dallas, GA while wrapping up loose ends in Dacula, GA. While tending to the selling of our old home to getting ready to sign the dotted line for our new home, I somehow managed to retain my sanity long enough to enjoy some of the little things in life such as Megan's 2nd Grade Field Day!

Yet another journey..... it was definitely bittersweet moving from our very first home in Dacula to our new home in Dallas. After all we began the Johnson Journey in this home. In just five short years we made many memories, made fabulous friends and established our family in an awesome church. Although we will most certainly miss everything I know in my heart this is exactly where God wants us to be.
